Dr. Uma P. Nair received her D.M.D. degree at the University of Pittsburgh. She completed her Postgraduate training in Endodontics from India as well as the US from the University of Pittsburgh.
She served as a faculty at the University of Florida where she was the Director of Predoctoral Endodontics and the Director for surgical endodontics for the residency program for 12 years after which she served as an Associate Professor and the Director of Graduate Endodontics at the Medical University of South Carolina at Charleston.
Her research interests include 3D imaging of vertical root fractures and the applications of CBCT in Endodontics. Dr. Nair has several publications and has authored chapters in endodontic textbooks. She has also been invited for lectures at the national and international level. She also serves on national committees for the American Association of Endodontics. Dr. Nair is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.
